My First Bloody Nose on the Dance Floor
Sunday night:
I'm dancing an amazing song, with this amazing hard-core to the bone, raw talent, street-trained Salsero from LA... He places me in a triple spin at 100mph, and catches me in a very deep dip, pulls me out of it beautifully, into three more smaller quick-dips, thrusts me back, catches my back, does a double spin himself, falls beautifully back into synch with my solo step shines, launches me into a solo triple spin, catches me in a split second, right on time, side steps into a slight pause before a simple, standard, right under-arm turn, and BASH!!! He elbows me right in the nose! I tried to continue dancing, but it hurt SO BAD, that I had to stop and check it.  Blood, on my hand.   Uh oh.  I stopped, walked off the dance floor with him at my side.   He felt SO BAD.  I could see it in his eyes.  He took his half-full cold beer bottle, and put it on my nose (how sweet).

He really felt bad.  In fact, he felt SO BAD, that I started feeling bad FOR HIM!   I kept saying "Don't worry about it, really.  It's fine.  ....just think, we've just created an amazing memory together..."  Something to that affect.  He then asked me what I wanted to DRINK, and bought me a drink.
(Now I know what it takes to get guys in LA to buy women drinks.... HA !!! )
