ITALIAN DANCERS LIKE NEW YORK STYLE
MAMBO-SALSA !

Hi salseros all around the world ! We are Alberto & Paola, mambo
salsa instructors and performers from Italy. Here this hot salsa
music captured many "aficionados". Ok in Italy there is a lot of
people crazy for dancing "latino", probably much more then in
other countries. This happen in everywhere from upper north
(like Milan,Turin,Venice) as in the central and south zone (like
for example Rome or Napoli ). It seems that this caliente rhytm
meets very much the favour of 20/40 years old people, Of course
now the contest is very different from the beginning age, when
firstly salsa dance comes in Italy ( end of eighty ). First salseros
generation were not like us today, because they have no technical
aknowledgment and so they dance in a very simple way, trying
to copy cuban or colombian people they saw dancing in the ballroom.
But after 1994/95 the contest totally changed. A new salseros
generation was born in these years. They have much more informations
and they break with the salsa patterns useful in that period . They
try yo dance salsa in different way, like they could learn with niuiorican
and portorican salsa instructors, who comes in that days in Italy.
Internet websites, magazines,videos opened the doors to a great
technical improvment. Also women, since this moment without a
sure visul dancing pattern, changed their look, after observing
the glitter and sophisticated dance apparence of niuiorican and
portorican female salsa dancers.
Now this second salseros generation (of corse they are only a
part of people who dances salsa in Italy) were present at 1°and
2° Congreso Mundial de Salsa in Porto Rico with very good dancers,
showing that italian salsa dance contest is going ahead very quickly.
Many dancers and instructors (like us), learned and now teach salsa
"en clave dos" since from basic level in their workshop, to be sure to get
the "authentico sabor" latino, that they meets en la "Isla de Incanto" as en Nueva
York. We hope salsa world will become always much wide and
a lot of people enjoy this wonderful music.
