What to do if you're suffering, and are seeking God
- by Edie, The Salsa FREAK

Below is a letter I wrote to a very dear friend of mine.  He told me he was suffering, and not doing too well lately.  Because he knew I was a Believer in the Word of God, he felt comfortable letting me know his feelings.  I'm leaving out names, but please, if you're reading this, consider my response to him, my personal email note to "you" my friend.  Please feel free to Email me if you wish.

"Dear Edie,
....Life is very difficult at the moment, however, it has caused me to renew my faith in God. Our last conversation about your own troubles and your faith has a been an inspiration for me. Thank you for that!

God bless you and Al,"

Dear _____,
I'm so glad you wrote!!!
You know, everything you're suffering right now, and the trials you are, and will go through are spoken about in the following sections of the Bible:
- John 16:33
- Romans 5:3
- Romans 8:18
- Philippians 1:29
- 1 Peter 5:10

Just remember, the nearer you draw to Him, the nearer He will draw to you. Go to a quiet place, alone, and ask Him to come into your heart. Ask Him to show you the way, and He will comfort and guide you. Once you ask Jesus Christ into your life, He (God) will send His Counselor, The Holy Spirit to live inside your heart, and dwell there, until the day you die (John 20:22). Gary, this simple act of faith on your part GUARANTEES everlasting life in Heaven after death. After you ask Him into your heart, your life will change. During this time on earth, the Holy Spirit will guide you, and protect you. As it says in Psalms 55:22, "Cast your cares unto the Lord, He will never let the Godly slip, or fall." (my favorite verse)

Remember the Trinity: The Father (God), The Son Jesus (God), and the Holy Ghost (God). God represents Himself like the three states of water. God, "ice", the solid, firm foundation. Christ, the "water", the cleanser of sins, and finally, the Holy Spirit (God), the "steam", the spirit that God sent to us after His son's death on the cross.

Remember, Christ died on the cross as payment IN FULL for ALL of our sins, past, present and future. His son's death was the ultimate sacrifice for us, because He loves us so much.

Remember, once you ask Him into your heart, He will forgive you, has forgiven you, and will forget, as far as the East is from the West . You are a clean, fresh, new being, who can, and will start over anew. You are forgiven, once you ask. Only Satin (the devil) fills our minds with lies and guilt. Satin really exists. All his demons are out to torment you and make you feel miserable. Satin wants to destroy you, because he hates you. Don't give him that victory. Our victory is in Christ, Jesus. Our victory was won over 2,000 years ago. Read Romans, chapter 5 thru 8. It's all right there, in plain black and white.

No sin is too great for God to forgive.
- 2 Chr 33:12-13
- Ps 51:1-7
- Acts 2:14
- 1 Jn 2:2(2)

Ask Christ (God) into your heart. Gary, it's free! Your eyes will finally be opened, and your life will completely change.
You will find the type of peace that surpasses all understanding. Read Philippians 4:6.

It's all right there. Have Faith, trust me, trust in Him, believe, and you'll see EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

This is no joke. We're talking eternity here. Feel free to call Al or myself me ANYTIME, day or night. (310) 628-6622 cell, (310) 606-5605 home, (310) 628-6999 Al's cell.

Take care!
Lots of God's Love to YOU!

PS: I have a Christian section on my site. It's at http://www.dancefreak.com/stories/scripture.htm.  I believe you can also download some Bible software somewhere in there. It's cool for looking up stuff in a hurry. My recommendations for an awesome Bible, if you decide to buy one is the Life Application Bible, New Living Translation. It's the easiest to understand, has maps, notes, a glossary, dictionary, time line and all that. It's perfect to study by.
